Our Pastor

Pastor Robert Wecht, who prefers to be called simply Pastor Bob, grew up in a conservative Jewish home and converted to Christianity when he was 29. Soon after receiving Christ as his Lord and Savior Pastor Bob was called into ministry where he has been blessed serving our Lord since 1994. His wife, Pastor Kimberly Wecht, is the Director of Mission and Pastoral Care at United Methodist Communities at Pitman. He has five children: Elena, Sarah, Hannah, Joshua, and Josiah.

My Family,

Blessings to you and yours in Christ’s most wonderful name!

With great sadness I must share with you all that starting THIS Sunday, December 6th, our church will be going totally virtual. This means that in-house worship services will again be put on hold until further notice. The number of positive cases of Covid-19 and the increasing number of deaths due to this terrible virus, have given us no other option.

I am terribly hurt and disappointed by these current changes in our spiritual lives. The consequences of not worshiping together has already been made clear for all to see.

And so, in regards to the church, I ask you to keep a few truths close to your hearts: a) Jesus loves you and he will never forsake you, b) Your church family loves you too but it will take a little bit more effort on our parts to stay connected, c) The Food Pantry will remain open as long as we have food to share with our neighbors (please keep those of us who are currently working in the Food Pantry in your prayers), d) The Thrift Shop will continue to help those in need, and e) I will do my very best to continue to serve you and Stratford through these difficult times. Please never loss hope!

May our Lord be with us all!

In Jesus Our Savior,
Pastor Bob
